Established in 1999 under the aegis of Shri Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak Trust Society, a charitable Society working in the field of Health & Education since 1952, with a view to provide quality education. BCIHMCT, New Delhi was the First Hotel Management Institute established under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi awarding a four-year degree in Hotel Management & Catering Technology and is approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) Ministry of HRD, Government of India. BCIHMCT is graded as an A+ Category Institute by Delhi Govt and GGSIP University, Delhi.
Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology runs Four Years BHMCT programme as designed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University - the affiliating University. The norms and standards for the delivery of the course - as laid down by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, and Government of India and the affiliating University - are followed at the institute.
BCIHMCT, New Delhi is a young and progressive Hotel Management Institute and prominent among Best Hotel Management Colleges in the country, created a niche for itself as a source of competent managerial and technical manpower for the hotel industry.
The faculty and the students – share the vision and mission of the Institute and are active partners in its implementation.
The Institute is Accredited by NAAC, an autonomous body under UGC, as Quality Institution and also Assessed and Registered against the provisions of ISO 9001:2008 International Standard.
The ‘Process Management Approach’ followed by the institute facilitates an effective implementation of each process and it’s monitoring. Dedicated and research oriented faculty implements teaching-learning process at BCIHMCT through rigorous planning and keeping in view the industry needs.
Students undergo classroom lectures, tutorials, case studies, assignments, seminars, workshops, multimedia presentations, and lectures from guest speakers from the industry and academia. To develop integrated knowledge of programming, students visit hotels for industrial exposure & are exposed to research projects on the topics related to syllabus, latest trends in technology. Students regularly participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
