Eligibility

B Tech is offered in 14 disciplines B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical (Spec. in Automotive Engineering), Mechanical (Spec. in Chemical Process Engg.), Mechanical (Spec. in Energy Engineering), Production & Industrial Engineering

Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the VITEEE are eligible for all the 14 B.Tech. Degree Programmes.

Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the VITEEE are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology programmes.

Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2013 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate). The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories: Candidates belonging to SC/ST category Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. 

Entrance and Admission requirements

Admission to B.Tech. Degree Programme is based on VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) conducted all over India.

5 year integrated M.Sc Biotechnology
Eligibility

5 years integrated course.
Class 12 pass students with physics, chemistry and biology are eligible. Candidates should have secured an aggregate of 60% and above in their +2 examination to be eligible to apply.

Entrance and Admission requirements

No entrance exam, admissions on the basis of aggregate of total marks secured in the +2 / Higher Secondary Examination

Eligibility

M.Tech offered in Biotechnology, Bio Medical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, CAD/CAM, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Structural Engineering, Power Systems, Control and Automation, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Nanotechnology, VLSI Design, Embedded System, Software Technology.

For M.Tech
A BTech or BE degree in specified branch.

For MCA
A bachelor degree in any branch with at least one of the following subjects at the under graduate level: Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics and Business Mathematics.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks for MCA and 50% marks for M.Tech. degree programmes.
Consistent Record in X Std. and XII Std. is required (For MCA Programme)
Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.

Entrance and Admission requirements

Admission to MCA and M.Tech. Programmes is based on VIT Master's Entrance Examination (VITMEE) conducted by VIT in major cities across India. Selection is through counselling based on the rank secured in the Entrance Examination. Preference is given to the candidates with GATE score for M.Tech. admission.

Eligibility

For M.Sc. Applied Microbiology, M.Sc. Biomedical Genetics, M.Sc. Biotechnology: B.Sc. degree from a recognized university in any branch of Biological Science that includes Botany / Zoology, Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Nutrition (or) Home Science / Agricultural Science / Medicine.

M.Sc. Chemistry (with Specialization in Analytical or Inorganic or Organic or General Chemistry): B.Sc. Degree in either Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Applied science from any recognized University with Physics or Mathematics or Biology as ancillary subject

M.Sc. Electronics: B.Sc. degree from any recognized university with Physics / Applied Sciences / Electronics (or) BES

M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry: B.Sc. degree from any recognized university with chemistry or Biochemistry / Botany / Zoology / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences with Chemistry as one of the subjects or B. Pharm.

M.Sc. Computer Science: Bachelor's degree from any recognized university in Computer Science / Computer Applications

Entrance and Admission requirements

Eligible candidates shall be called for counselling and the admission is decided based on the marks in the qualifying examination.

B.Sc Computer Science/ BCA/ B.Sc Multimedia and Animation/ M.S. Software Engineering
Eligibility

For B.Sc Computer Science and BCA : A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum of 60% overall aggregate.
For B.Sc Multimedia and Animation: A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or pass in Diploma (10+3) in any stream with a minimum of 60% overall aggregate.
M.S. Software Engineering (5 year integrated course): A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the state / central board of examination or its equivalent examination with 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).

Admissions on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination.
