B.A. Social Work (Hons.) with specialisation in Rural Development
Eligibility

The applicants who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, 10+2 or its equivalent (HSC/PUC/Pre-Degree) course with minimum aggregate marks of 50% (40% for SCs/STs) are eligible to apply to the Bachelor's Degree Programme.

Entrance and Admission requirements

Those satisfying the eligibility requirements will be assessed for selection through a process involving two stages: (a) Written Test; and (b) Group Discussion and Personal Interview (only for short-listed candidates).

Application Forms for the BA Programme are available in the month of January and the Entrance Exams are held in the month of May. The admission process is complete by the month of June. Applications forms can be downloaded form the website or can be obtained by post.

M.A. Social Work
Eligibility

Eligibility:
A Bachelor’s Degree of a minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognised university, in any discipline.
Offered in 9 disciplines, School of Social Work (M. A. Social Work in) Intake Children & Family 26, Criminology & Justice 26, Community Organisation & Development Practice 30, Disability Studies & Action 26, Dalit & Tribal Studies & Action 25, Mental Health * 20, Public Health 20 , Liivelihoods & Entrepreneurship 20 , Women-Centred Practice 15.

Entrance and Admission requirements

The admissions are based on a National Common Written test and Pre Interview Test/ or personal Interview. 

The written test is help in online format and will have questions related to Social Sensitivity; Knowledge on Contemporary issues; Analytical Ability, and Logical Reasoning. 

Eligibility for Pre-Interview Test (PIT)/ or Personal Interview (PI)

Short-listing of candidates for the second round of selection (PIT and PI) will be based on cut-off marks to

be decided later by the Institute. Only short-listed candidates will receive call letters for the second round

(PIT and PI) to be held in Mumbai. The PIT consists of either a Group Discussion (GD) or a Written Test.

Course Fee and Scholorships

The fee for social work program is Rs 54,000 for the first semester and around 37,000 in all other semesters.

M.A. Globalisation and Labour/ Human Resource Management and Labour Relations
Eligibility

A Bachelor’s Degree of a minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4
or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory
requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognised university, in any discipline.

The first semester fee is Rs 60,000.

M.A. Applied Psychology
Eligibility

Offered in Clinical Psychology and Counselling Psychology
Candidates applying for M.A. in Applied Psychology with Specialisation in Clinical
Psychology should have completed (i) B.A. Psychology, or (ii) B.A. General, with minimum
three papers in Psychology. Candidates who will appear for their final year B.A. examination
in 2013, with the above subjects and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
(i) Candidates applying for M.A. in Applied Psychology with Specialisation in Counselling
Psychology should have completed (i) B.A. Psychology, (ii) B.A./B.Sc. Home Science with
specialisation in Child/Human Development; (iii) B.A. Social Work, or (iv) B.A. General with
minimum three papers in Psychology. Candidates who will appear for their final year B.A.
examination in 2013, with the above subjects and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
