College Description
College of Engineering Pune, established in 1854 is the third oldest engineering college after COE, Guindy and IIT Roorkee. Initially it was called Poona Engineering Class and Mechanical School but in 1864 it was re-christened as Poona Civil engineering College. The institte was initially affliated to University of Bombay. In 2003 the institute was granted complete autonomous status and had its permamnet affliation to University of Pune.

Campus
Spread over 36 acres, the main hall of the college serves as the administrative block now. It houses gymkhana, examination halls besides having offices of administrative heads.
