Symbiosis Law College, Pune
Symbiosis Law School, established in June 1977, was affiliated in the beginning to the University of Pune. Further, another important stride was made in 2002 when SLS became the constituent college of Symbiosis International University. Thereby, SLS gained an enhanced degree of autonomy in teaching, learning and research.
SIU is accredited by NAAC Grade A. Established under section 3 of UGC Ast 1956 and approved by Bar Council Of India.
Nestled in the city of Pune (popularly described as the Oxford of the East, with the glorious heritage of being the capital of the Peshwas), it has recently been conferred with the honor of being a core partner in the global network of legal institutes of Erasmus Mundus. It embodies the essence of Symbiosis which means living together for mutual benefit. This institute has co-existed as the only Legal Studies Institute with other flagship institutions of Symbiosis International University – a host of excellent institutions in Management and Information Technology. Further, it has networked with the government, judiciary, community, society, industry and the profession, for mutual benefit.
