The Nagpur Flying Club, the only flying club from Vidarbha, was established in 1947. Since its inception, the Club has produced around 500 pilots of various categories. The Club was taken over by Government of Maharashtra in 1990.

Nagpur Flying Club is located in Nagpur District of Maharashtra. It functions from Sonegaon Airport, which is situated about eight km from Nagpur. The club conducts training for amateur and commercial pilots. It maintains a fleet strength of about three aircrafts for the use of the students. Nagpur Flying Club also conducts various courses related to aviation technology.
