A lab technician in criminology can earn any amount ranging between Rs. 2.5 lakhs to Rs. 3 lakhs a year.

After completing course in Forensic Science one can find suitable jobs in both Govt. Sector and also private sector. In the government sector the Police Department, CBI, CID, Forensic Science Laboratories are the biggest employers. In the Private Sector Detective Agencies and Insurance Companies also give employment. Universities and colleges also offer another employment avenue and one can also start own practice. Depending on the qualifications and experience one usually works as Forensic Expert, Forensic Scientist, Forensic Investigator, Forensic Consultant, etc
